Registration conditions

These registration conditions apply to the registration for first aid courses. Deviations from these conditions are only binding if and to the extent that they have been confirmed in writing by the first aid school.

First Aid course registration

The prospective student can register for a first aid course via the website shop.rodekruis.nl or shop.ehbo-school.nl. The registration will be confirmed - if successful - immediately via the e-mail address provided by the registrant.

Participation costs

The participation fee is determined per course. A student is registered at the moment that the participation fee is received by the first aid school. The financial obligation of the student towards the first aid school does not expire by not attending the (full) course. For the cancellation conditions, see below under “cancellation”.

Certification

The certificate

For certain courses, the course certificate is received by the student when he or she has achieved his or her competencies. This is tested by the instructor of the course on the basis of the applicable criteria. The instructors are at all times authorized persons recognized by the Red Cross or Orange Cross.

Certificate of participation

A number of courses are completed with a certificate of participation. This certificate of participation is awarded by the course instructor, whereby only the presence of the student is taken into account. Attendance is recorded with attendance lists that the student must sign upon arrival. Under no circumstances can this certificate of participation be considered a course certificate. A certificate of participation is not awarded if the student has been absent for more than 20% of the time.

Cancel

Right of withdrawal

A registration for a course via the website shop.rodekruis.nl or shop.ehbo-school.nl can be revoked within 14 days without additional costs or payment obligation. Any costs paid will be refunded. The period of 14 days starts on the day after the online registration. The revocation must be submitted within this period via the e-mail address info@ehbo-school.nl. As soon as the (first lesson of the) classroom course has been attended, the right of revocation expires. If the right of revocation is invoked within 14 days, but only after the classroom course has already started, the costs of the part of the course that has already taken place cannot be reclaimed. The online course is made available via the Heartbeat system. At the moment the online course is started, the student waives the right of revocation. The purchase of the online course can therefore no longer be undone.

Cancellation by the student outside the withdrawal period: classroom course

Cancellations must always be made in writing or by e-mail. In the event of cancellation, administration costs are always due. In the event of cancellation up to one month before the start of the first day of the course, a full refund of the registration fee will be received. In the event of cancellation up to one week before the start of the first day of the course, 50% of the registration fee will be due. In the event that the student terminates participation prematurely after the start of the course or otherwise does not participate in the course, the client is not entitled to any refund. In deviation from the above, a full refund of the registration fee including administration costs is possible at all times if the right of withdrawal applies (see under "Right of withdrawal"). Furthermore, a refund of the registration fee (excluding administration costs) is possible in the event of death or serious illness of yourself, family members in the 1st or 2nd degree or housemates, or in the event of a medically necessary procedure that you, your partner or your child must undergo unexpectedly.

Cancellation by the student outside the right of withdrawal period: online course (e-learning)After the expiry of the right of withdrawal period, the purchase of the online course can no longer be undone.

Cancellation by the organizer

The First Aid School has the right to cancel the course, change the date or refuse participation of a student without giving reasons, in which cases the right to reimbursement of the full amount paid to the First Aid School arises. The First Aid School will (except in force majeure situations) inform the student of the cancellation no later than seven days before the start of the course.

First Aid School Liability

The First Aid School accepts no liability towards the student for any damage except in the event that its liability insurance covers the damage and insofar as the insurer makes a payment in such a case. The First Aid School is never liable for indirect damage, including consequential damage, loss of profit and damage due to business stagnation. The student agrees that the First Aid School will not be held liable if the student has the possibility to directly contact his or her insurance company or that of a third party in respect of the damage. As of 1 October 2004, all holders of a valid Red Cross First Aid certificate are insured at no extra cost against liability for damage to property or persons when providing first aid. The Red Cross has taken out this insurance to provide first aid workers with back-up. The Red Cross believes it is important that first aid workers can do their work without fear if necessary. NB: The liability insurance is not linked to courses or workshops that lead to a Certificate of Participation.

Change of registration conditions

The First Aid School is entitled to change these registration conditions. The First Aid School will announce the changed registration conditions at least one month before they come into effect. The current version of the registration conditions will be published on the website of the First Aid School.

Complaints

If you have a complaint or you believe that De EHBO-school is not or insufficiently fulfilling the obligations arising from the course agreement, we request that you contact De EHBO-school by telephone or in writing to find a solution together.
